This spring season happens to coincide with my third trimester, so its safe to say I’m not going over the top with this. That being said, there are a few things that have been on my mind to do with my sons, and as the weather isn’t too hot here in Florida yet, it feels like the perfect time. This list is short and simple, but I think it will add help add a little magic this spring amidst getting things ready for baby #3. Plus, having a list like this keeps me accountable!
- Try out a new park
I’ve got a running list of parks and preserves I’ve been wanting to take our sons to, that I just haven’t done yet. We just seem to always go to the tried and true ones we love. So, its on my list to at least try out ONE! - Bake a new sourdough recipe.
My oldest son has been asking to helping me with my sourdough bread, and in addition to that I though it would be fun to try out a new recipe to use our starter or discard with. - Play with sidewalk chalk
Our sons do this are their grandparents’ house and really love it, and I think it might be special for them to decorate their own front porch as well. Maybe even surprise Dada with some fun drawings or messages to welcome him home from work! - Feed the ducks
We’ve got a duck pond near us and TONS of ducks. Every time we go I think “I should have brought something to feed them!” Next time is the time. - Make homemade jam
I can’t be the only one inspired to make homemade jam or preserves from the Netflix series With love, Meghan….right? It sounds easy, so we’ll give it a shot! - Get my son’s their own plants to take care of
I think my boys would LOVE to pick out a little plant (a succulent maybe?) to plant in a pot and look after them selves. - Go on a picnic
We have picnics every once in a while and our whole family enjoys it, so we’ll make an extra effort to do that this spring. - Read books outside
Very simple, and something we do very often. But I put it on here because I want to keep doing it! Kind of like writing something on your to-do list that you’ve already done, just so you can cross it out. 😉
What are some things you’re planning to do this spring? I’m pretty certain this is my very favorite part of the year, so I’m really looking forward to it!
Fondly,
Sadie
